Board Adda: Ludo, carrom and chess on one phone
Board Adda bundles thirteen board games, including Ludo, carrom and chess, into one app. A practical look at what it offers and how to get it.
Board games do not travel well. A carrom board takes up a table, and a chess set gets lost in a bag. Board Adda puts thirteen of them on one phone. The studio describes the games as free, and the list includes Ludo, carrom and chess, three well-known board games.
What is in the bundle
Live Game Labs names Ludo, carrom and chess, and says the app has thirteen board games in all. That makes it a good choice when a group wants variety in one sitting without switching apps between rounds.
Ludo, the family race
Ludo is a race game. Each player moves four tokens around the board from their start to their home. A roll of six lets a token leave base, and landing on an opponent sends that token back. It is quick to learn and suits children from about five years old, with an adult playing along the first few times.
Carrom, the flicking game
Carrom is played on a board with pockets at the corners. Players flick their discs with a striker and try to pocket their own colour. It rewards a steady hand, and a phone version lets you practise the angles without a board on the table.
Chess, the long game
Chess is the most demanding game in the bundle. The rules are fixed and every piece moves in its own way. If you are starting from zero, our chess piece guide explains the moves before you play.
