Board Club: fifteen classic board games in one offline app
Board Club from Play Boom Games puts over fifteen classic board games in one offline app. What is in it and how to get it on Android.
There is a box in most homes with a few board games in it, and half of them are missing a piece. Board Club is an attempt to replace that box. Play Boom Games describes it as the whole games cupboard in one app, with over fifteen classic board games, playable offline.
What a classic board game collection is for
A collection is useful when a family or group wants variety without buying a new game each time. The games in a set like this tend to be the ones people know already, which means less time reading rules and more time playing.
A quick start
Start with the game the group already knows. Once the rules are settled, try a second game. Pick one that is quick to explain, so the first round ends before anyone loses interest. Our board night guide suggests a short order for a mixed group.
Offline matters for board games too
A board game does not need a server, so an offline app is the right model for it. You can play on a train or in a hotel room, and the game does not stop if the connection does.
